How affiliate links work

Affiliate links are intended to help users move from a completed estimate to a relevant shopping or service option. They are not required to use any calculator, guide or project-planning feature on this site.
Calculator results stay independent
Affiliate relationships do not alter calculator formulas, default calculation logic, methodology, sources or displayed results. ProjectCalcWorks does not increase a material quantity, cost estimate or recommendation in order to generate a commission.
Where a product comparison is available, it uses the values entered by the user, such as package coverage, yield and price. ProjectCalcWorks does not treat affiliate commission as an input to the comparison.
How paid links are identified
Commercial links are presented as optional paid next steps and include an affiliate disclosure near the link. Affiliate links use sponsored link attributes so search engines and browsers can distinguish them from ordinary editorial links.
Merchant information can change
Prices, availability, product specifications, promotions, return policies, shipping terms, affiliate commissions and program eligibility are controlled by the third-party merchant or affiliate network and can change without notice. No paid placement in calculator results
ProjectCalcWorks does not sell placement inside calculator results. A merchant relationship does not make a product mathematically better, structurally appropriate or suitable for a specific project.
