Exterior & Masonry Calculators
Estimate concrete, cladding, masonry and outdoor material quantities from measured surfaces and product dimensions. Variable inputs stay visible so the calculator does not silently assume one brick size, siding package or wall layout.

Measure the surface first, then apply the product model
Exterior projects often use the same wall, patio or boundary dimensions but purchase materials in very different units. Siding is commonly discussed in square feet or 100-square-foot siding squares. Face brick depends on the repeating brick-and-joint module. Retaining-wall blocks are laid in discrete courses, while pavers depend on unit size and joint spacing.
ProjectCalcWorks keeps those purchase models separate. Start from measured area or layout, then enter the product dimensions, package coverage, spacing or waste value that actually applies to the material you plan to buy.
Exterior estimates should not hide accessories
A cladding-area estimate does not automatically include starter strips, corners, trim, soffit or flashing. A brick-count estimate does not determine structural reinforcement; mortar and sealant tools still require product-specific coverage or joint-design information. A fence calculator does not choose footing depth, and a retaining-wall calculator does not design drainage or reinforcement.
These tools are quantity checks, not construction specifications. Use manufacturer instructions, project drawings, supplier packaging and applicable local requirements to turn the calculated quantity into a final order.
Build an exterior material takeoff in stages
For a wall, calculate net cladding or brick coverage first. For hardscape, estimate unit count and supporting aggregate separately. For fencing, define spacing and openings before calculating repeated posts and infill. Keeping each stage visible makes it easier to compare the calculator output with a supplier quote and catch a wrong assumption before material is ordered.
