Interior & Flooring Calculators

Turn measured surfaces into whole purchase units while keeping product coverage and waste assumptions explicit.

Whole-unit rounding happens at the end

The purchase calculators keep measured area separate from the quantity you need to buy. After your chosen waste or extra-material percentage is applied, drywall is divided by sheet coverage, flooring and tile by product box coverage, insulation by package coverage, blown-in insulation by coverage per bag, and paint by coverage per gallon. Whole purchase units are then rounded up.

That distinction matters because rounding too early can compound error. Intermediate values retain full precision; user-facing quantities are rounded only where the purchasing decision requires it.

Product specifications still control

Drywall presets cover common sheet dimensions documented by USG, while a custom sheet size remains available. Flooring/tile box coverage, insulation package coverage, blown-in bag coverage and paint coverage are never guessed: enter the value printed on the exact product specification or manufacturer chart. See Sources & Data for the verification policy.
