Private in-browser measurement aid

Blind Measurement Worksheet

Check an opening's narrowest width and longest height, or add your planned outside coverage. This does not verify fit, factory deductions or the selected blind's order dimensions.

Enter measurements in inches

Use the actual product's instructions and keep the original measurements. Enter inches as 35 3/4, 35-3/4 or 35.75; all three mean the same width. Only common tape fractions (halves through sixty-fourths) are accepted. Measure every window separately.

Inside-mount opening dimensions

Do not manually subtract a generic clearance amount. The manufacturer may handle inside-mount deductions, and outside-mount order size may differ from fabric coverage.

How to interpret the result

Inside mount: the worksheet reports the smallest of your three opening widths and the largest of your three heights. Many blind manufacturers use those values, but some products have different rules. Depth and handle clearance must still be checked against the exact product. The output is not a manufacturing order size and includes no factory deduction.

Outside mount: the worksheet simply adds left and right coverage to the visible opening width, then adds above- and below-opening coverage to height. The result is a chosen coverage rectangle, not a certified headrail, fabric or slat dimension. Check mounting support and the finished dimensions given by the supplier before purchase.

This tool operates in your browser; it does not send your measurement entries to a server. Read our complete guide to measuring inside- and outside-mount blinds for examples and limitations, and verify your selected product against LEVOLOR's wood-blind technical guide or Bali instructions as applicable. For homes with small children, the U.S. CPSC recommends cordless window coverings.
