Paver Calculator
Estimate whole pavers from your project area and paver dimensions, then optionally calculate base and bedding volumes using the depths specified for your project.
Paver count formula
Project area is converted to square inches, then divided by the repeating module formed by the paver dimensions plus the entered joint gap. Waste is added before the final quantity is rounded up to a whole paver.
pavers = ceiling(area in² ÷ module area × (1 + waste %))
This is an area-based material estimate. Exact row/course layouts, borders, curves and cuts can change the installed count, so use the waste/cuts field based on your actual pattern.
Base and bedding material
If you enter a base or bedding depth, the calculator converts area × depth into cubic yards. It does not preselect construction depths because soil, climate, load and project specifications can change the required assembly.
Before ordering pavers
Use the actual paver dimensions and joint gap for the product and pattern you plan to install. Borders, curves, diagonal layouts and cuts can increase real usage beyond a simple area model. Base and bedding outputs are quantity conversions from the depths you enter, not installation-depth recommendations.
